When dealing with roofers, there are a couple of things you should know. First, a lot of “roofers” aren’t really roofers. They are handymen or unlicensed individuals doing random work. If you have a problem with their work, you don’t really have any redress if they don’t fix the problem. While they might be cheaper up front, they’ll cost you far more in the long run.
Whether you use us or someone else, it is highly recommended that you use a credible roofer. How do you know if they are credible? They should be able to show you proof of a few things. The first is their license with the state contractor’s board. The second is proof of insurance. The third is the fact they are bonded. Fourth, they should be able to show you they carry worker’s compensation for the employees who will be working on your roof. If they don’t have any of these, then you shouldn’t hire them.
